FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Days and times for practices depend primarily on the availability of coaches and facilities. Ideally, we try to provide the recommended number of practices for students stage of development by age/grade.
We also take into consideration that kids are often involved in more than one activity and we encourage them to try many things while they're young. A coach may offer more days to practice so that kids can try to make it to at least 1 or 2. For times, the first practices of the day start with the older kids and move to the younger kids (this is coincides with typical recreation sports for younger kids, as schools do not open their facilities for other organizations until 6pm).
Typical number of practices per week:
- 7th/8th grade 4-5 days
- 5th/6th grade: 3-4 days
- 3rd/4th grade: 2 days
As of Fall 2023, the gym is reserved for Cataldo Care from 2:30-3:30pm. So most practices will need to start no sooner than 3:30pm
This depends on the division your child plays in. Most of the Catholic Grade School League games are played at Gonzaga Prep, with some sports rotating between the grade schools as well.
